Salman Khan has romanced legions of actresses in his storied career of more than three decades. He has shared crackling chemistry with most of the heroines he has worked with over the years. Be it Bhagyashree, Karisma Kapoor, Rani Mukerji or Katrina Kaif, the superstar has wowed audiences with his solid on-screen chemistry with all of them.
Whenever Salman Khan announces a new film, fans are always agog about the name of the actress he would pair up with. Recently, the superstar announced that after wrapping up brother Arbaaz Khan’s hotly anticipated movie Dabangg 3, which is the next instalment of his highly popular cop-drama franchise Dabangg (2010), he would start working on the official Hindi remake of South Korean movie Veteran (2015), which will see the actor in the role of a detective who tracks down a high-profile man running a crime syndicate.
Ever since Salman Khan revealed his plans of remaking the blockbuster South Korean action comedy in Hindi, fans are curious to know which actress the actor will finalize to play the female lead opposite him in the movie. But if film enthusiasts get to know the latest development on the project, they will be sorely disappointed.
According to reports, the remake will star no heroine. Yes, you heard that right! Salman Khan will have no heroine to romance in the official remake of Veteran. Almost all Bollywood commercial potboilers have heroines in them, but the Veteran remake is going to be an exception.
The remake will be bankrolled by Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, who is also producing Khan’s forthcoming release Bharat. Reportedly, the Hindi remake of the movie is going to be bigger and better than the original film. In his recent interview, Agnihotri revealed that his team is looking at taking the movie to the shooting floor in 2020.
