Salman Khan Adopts Flood-Affected Village In Kolhapur, Maharashtra

Salman Khan has reportedly adopted a flood-affected village in Maharashtra and has taken responsibility of the welfare of the villagers.

Salman Khan has a big heart, and we all have seen his generosity time and again. He is the one who clearly understands the responsibility of the status he holds in the society. Apart from providing a launchpad to several actors over the years, the superstar has been actively involved in various social causes that he believes in, for a long time now.

Showing the humanitarian side of him once again, Salman Khan has now adopted a flood-affected village in Maharashtra. In 2019, hundreds of families lost their houses to devastating rains in Sangli, Satara and Kolhapur districts in the Western region of Maharashtra. Now, Salman Khan has come forward to adopt Khidrapur village which falls under the Kolhapur district.

The superstar, who is often seen working for the social causes, has taken responsibility of the welfare of the villagers. He along with Elan foundation will be taking care of providing shelter for the villagers. Not just that, the construction of the houses will be done with the help of the state government and other investors.

Earlier, Salman Khan had also donated after floods in Jammu and Kashmir. In 2018, he had donated ₹ 2 crore for cancer patients. The superstar has been providing financial help to various social causes through his foundation Being Human.

On work front, Salman Khan is currently shooting for his forthcoming film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The cop-drama, directed by Prabhu Dheva, also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda in important roles. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on Eid 2020.

After the release of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Khan will star shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala’s much-awaited production venture Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which will hit theatres in 2021, on the auspicious occasion of Eid. Pooja Hegde plays the love interest of the superstar in the film.
