Not only is talented in their own fields, but our Bollywood celebrities also have warm hearts when it comes to social charities. A few days ago, the director of Simmba, Rohit Shetty contributed up to Rs 1 crore to Rs 51 lakh to the Mumbai Police Foundation. 

Rohit Shetty's Simba Has Made Rs 240 Crore At Box Office 

A few days back, the director of Uri has donated up to Rs 1 crore to Army widows' welfare fund. The goodwill is spreading away when Rohit Shetty, the director of Simmba and his team has just contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Mumbai Police Foundation. This is a part of their profit from Simmba. His film has won a jackpot at the box office and became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019 which has made Rs 240 crore of total gross so far.

Umang Awards 2019 is an annual culture festival of Mumbai Police. The event this year took place on January 27th at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Many various Bollywood stars including A-listers were invited to the event. We can spot out some faces like Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and many others.

With the companion of Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty showed up in a leopard print suit. On behalf of Rohit Shetty Picturez, his own production house, he handed over the check which worths Rs 51 lakh to the Commissioner of Police.

Simmba is the latest film of Rohit Shetty which focus on the life of a cop named Sangram Bhalerao (Ranveer). He is in the relationship with Shagun (Sara), a waitress nearby the station. Things happen when his adopted sister, a young medical student name Aakruti Dave, is raped and murdered.

Few days after hitting the theatre, Simmba reached Rs 100-crore mark and ended up with Rs 240 crore at box office in total.
