Director Rohit Shetty and A-list star Salman Khan are likely to team up in an action film project produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. According to Mumbai Mirror’s report, the promising project will start shooting later this year when both actors finish their works with other projects. While Salman is busy with his upcoming films Dabangg 3 and Bharat, Shetty is in the process of shooting of his a cop drama Sooryavanshi.
Salman Will Be More Than The Lead Role
The report revealed that Sajid and Rohit have sat together for a few times to discuss whether it was possible to collaborate with Salman, not only in the lead role but also for the film content.
A Spin-off From Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick
Selected from dozens of options, Devi Lal Singh (aka Devil) is the potential spin-off from Kick. The film was the successful debut of Sajid Nadiadwala in 2014 which showed Salman wearing a khaki uniform in the open ending. If things go as planned, this is going to Rohit Shetty's possible start.
Whatever It Is, This Collab Worths Waiting For
There are predictions that the film is likely to be a cop drama. Responding to this, the source said that it was too early to be sure of anything as they were working on the character and the script. There is only one thing we know for sure, this collab of Rohit and Salman will be a thing which worths waiting for.
Salman's latest film in 2018, Race 3, was a failure ending up with only Rs 165 crore in total. On the contrary, Shetty’s latest project Simmba was his highest-grossing film ever with Rs 240 crore so far. With Ranveer Singh in the lead role, the film is going to keep up the good trend as it is still running in the theatres.
