Ranveer Singh’s Simmba Establishes 8 New Records Merely After 11 Days of Its Premiere

Merely a short distance away, Simmba starring Ranveer Singh will join the list of Rs 200 crore Bollywood films. Currently, the movie has achieved the massive box-office success with Rs 196 crore only after 11 days of its release. Additionally, it has already beaten some previous records.

Simmba helmed by the director Rohit Shetty revolves around a corrupt police officer determining to enter the right path after his relative’s tragic death. In addition to Ranveer Singh’s presence, it also features the actress Sara Ali Khan in the female lead.

1. Firstly, it is ranked second in Ranveer Singh’s most successful movies. Previously, the year 2018 also witnessed the talented actor’s most successful Bollywood film, Padmaavat. It earned Rs 525 crore at the global box office. Simmba has even surpassed his 2015 blockbuster Bajirao Mastani’s lifetime receipts.
2. Meanwhile, Simmba is rated number third in the most successful flicks under the direction of Rohit Shetty. Two preceding films are 2013 Chennai Express and 2017 Golmaal Again. 2015 Dilwale also collected Rs 400 crore; however, its enormous success depended mainly on the international box office.
3. Thirdly, Simmba marks Rohit’s eighth flick hitting Rs 100 crore. It helps him to be the sole Bollywood director possessing eight films reaching the Rs 100 crore milestone.

8. Finally, Simmba holds the highest-grossing opening in Ranveer’s acting career. The movie grossed Rs 20.72 on its premiere while his previous flick, Padmaavat, only earned Rs 18 crore.
