Protests Amidst Screening Of "Article 15", Filmmakers In Trouble?

During the special screening of the film, Ayushmann Khurrana had revealed that the film does not hurt any religion, caste or creed. The protesters have now threatened the filmmakers to withdraw the film or face criminal cases.

It was a horrific day for moviegoers and could be possible trouble for filmmakers as Brahmin Community protested against the release of Article 15 in Nagpur and Bhopal. The protesters claimed that Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film projects Brahmin community in a poor light.

The film which reportedly revolves around a gang rape and murder incident which took place in Badaun of Uttar Pradesh.

Article 15

The protesters allegedly manhandled moviegoers while they were entering inside the movie hall. In Nagpur, the protesters allegedly tried to halt the screening of the film. A heavy police force has been deployed near the theatres to avoid any untoward incident.

The state police in metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Pune, Thane and other parts of Maharashtra have been kept on alert to tackle the protests throughout the screening of the film.
