Pataakha - A new milestones in the acting career

Sunil Grover, an Indian actor, renowned comedian, had great success in getting a breakthrough from television to cinema with the movie Pataakha. The film received lots of positive reactions from film-goers. In this comedy movie, Grover played Dipper Naradmuni whose main role is raising the conflict between the two sisters. According to Grover, this project is completely different from romance movies that he has experienced so far. However, Grover felt it's easy to understand and perform the characteristic of Naradmuni. "This character is pretty familiar to me", says Grover. Everything in his childhood at Mandi Dabwaliwas thrown back through this movie.

Recounting casting experience

“I grew up in a simple Punjabi family and used to mimic my teachers and famous people. I would get applauded, but I had never thought I would become an actor.", says the talented comedian.

After having completed his schooling from Mandi Dabwali and graduated from Guru Nanak College, Grover continued to gain a Master's degree in Theatre from Panjab University Chandigarh. During the next years, he strived to get as many acting opportunities as possible. "What a true actor need is a well-preparation but not a great teacher. If you want to step into the film industry, talent is not enough, you must have an aptitude.", Grover emphasized. Until now, everything still looks like the very first step of him into the film industry. Whenever being on stage, Grover pays high attention to the expression of audiences.

Finally, in August 2000, the small-town comedian leave his hometown for Mumbai. After very short time settling in Juhu, Grover moved to a no-lifting building in Goregaon. Everything was out of his hand, he started to do a voice-over. Surprisingly, his name was marked ever since.

During the next ten years, Grover appeared in almost TV shows. One of the important milestones in his career is Comedy Nights with Kapil. This series had great effects during the no-Internet decade. At the time, he was the comedian whose the most outstanding ways of acting.

After six years cooperating with Kapil Sharma, Grover began a new journey with Pataakha. Also, Grover affirmed that he is continuing on upgrading the comedy software so that it can adapt to the new trend in India. Moreover, he established many coaching classes for training the X-factor for the comedy industry. Besides Pataakha, Grover is shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat released on June 5, 2019.
