Nupur Sanon Not Paired Opposite Akshay Kumar In “Bell Bottom”

Nupur Sanon became an overnight sensation after her music video, Filhaal, with Akshay Kumar hit the internet and turned out to be a huge success within blink of an eye. After the humongous success of the single people wondered when she would make her silver screen debut. Recently, several media outlets reported that Nupur Sanon has finally bagged her first Bollywood movie and that too opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is titled Bell Bottom which the superstar announced a couple of weeks ago.

A publication reported that filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, who is co-producing Bell Bottom, liked the chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Nupur Sanon in the music video that they did together for the song Filhaal. It was only a matter of time before they were cast together in the forthcoming project.

However, when a publication got in touch with filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, he completely denied the reports of Nupur Sanon, and earlier Mrinal Thakur, pairing opposite Akshay in Bell Bottom. The filmmaker said that the decision on the female lead in Bell Bottom will be taken after the director Ranjit M Tiwari returns from his recce abroad. Tiwari is currently abroad recceing locations for the shooting of the film. He last helmed Lucknow Central (2017), featuring Farhan Akhtar and Diana Penty.

Bell Bottom is said to be set in the 1980s and will be a roller-coaster spy ride. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani, the film is scheduled to hit the marquee on April 2, 2021. Earlier, it was set to arrive in January 2021, but then Akshay Kumar deferred its theatrical release date to April and instead decided to release his another much-awaited film Bachchan Panday in January 2021. We eagerly await to see who romances the superstar in Bell Bottom.
