Not Deepika Padukone! Kangana Ranaut Was The First Choice For The Blockbuster "Padmaavat"

Actor Kangana Ranaut has revealed that she was first offered the role of exceptionally beautiful Padmaavat and the Ram-Leela song, eventually featured by Deepika Padukone.

One of Bollywood’s most versatile and controversial actor Kangana Ranaut never shies away from calling a spade a spade. The diva who started at a very young age on her own has become a leading lady with success and massive box-office numbers.

Currently, the diva is making headlines when lashing out at Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Alia BhattRanbir Kapoor among others and revealing details about shooting for a soft porn character. However, what got our attention most was when she revealed that Padmaavat was first offered to her and NOT Deepika Padukone. 

In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, Kangana Ranaut said that she had a “brief meeting” with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his 2018 historical drama Padmaavat. “Oh, yes. In fact, we had a brief meeting for Padmaavat (2018). He narrated me the script,” the Queen star said.

Meanwhile, a picture of Kangana donning a cop avatar reportedly from the sets of Mental Hai Kya has flooded the internet. In the viral photo, Kangana Ranaut can be seen riding and performing stunts in a bike.

Currently, the Queen actress is riding high on the success of Manikarnika and earned heaps of praises for her performance as the fierce warrior. She also has Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga and the J Jayalalithaa biopic in her kitty.
