Nawazuddin Siddiqui: “I'm Not Concerned About The Gender Of The Storyteller”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui will shortly be seen in the upcoming comic-caper “Motichoor Chaknachoor”, co-starring Athiya Shetty. The movie releases on 15th November.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has teamed up with a number of female directors ever since he began his acting career. Nandita Das directed him in Firaaq (2008) and Manto (2018). He worked under the direction of Reema Kagti in Talaash (2011).
Most recently, he joined hands with Tannishtha Chatterjee for her directorial debut Roam Rome Mein. The National Film Award winning actor says that he is never concerned about the gender of the storyteller.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui told a newswire:
Roam Rome Mein has been creating a lot of ripples in several national and international film festivals. Apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha Chatterjee, the film also features Vineet Kumar, Isha Talwar and Italian actors Urbano Barberini and Pamela Villoresi.
Siddiqui is quite happy to see the kind of response the movie has generated from the audience during special screenings at festivals.
