However, she took it slow and waited for the right opportunity to come her way. Now, after two years of her win, it looks like the right opportunity has finally knocked on her doors.

According to reports, Manushi Chhillar has signed her debut film and that too opposite none other than superstar Akshay Kumar. Yes, you heard it absolutely right!

Manushi Chhillar has been locked to play the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar in the much-awaited period drama Prithviraj. And now that she has signed a film, the former beauty queen is giving her all to the project. We hear that she has started learning classical dance form Kathak for her character in the period drama.

A source close to the debutante tells a leading publication,

Though Prithviraj is primarily about the Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar will have a considerable screen space in the movie, which makes it a perfect launch for her.

To be produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj will be directed by renowned writer and filmmaker Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Set to mount the shooting floors soon, the movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Diwali 2020.
