Gorgeous actress Kriti Sanon, who was most recently seen in a special song in Dharma Productions’ period film Kalank, is not happy with the fact that songs featuring actress are often termed as “item numbers”.

Kriti Sanon, who began her acting career by starring opposite Tiger Shroff in the 2014 action entertainer, Heropanti, has come a long way in the Hindi film industry. She has been a part of several successful films in the past few years.

If you take a look at the slate of her upcoming films, you will realize she has some exciting projects lined up for theatrical release in the coming months.

Kriti Sanon was most recently seen in a special song in Dharma Productions’ multi-starrer period drama Kalank (2019). The song, titled Aira Gaira, had her grooving with the male leads Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur in the film. Shot beautifully on a huge scale, Aira Gaira turned out to be one of the most popular songs on the entire soundtrack of Kalank.

Such special dance numbers are often described as “item numbers” in the dictionary of Bollywood. However, Kriti Sanon is not happy with the tag given to such songs in Hindi movies.

Kriti went on to add that the term seems to only be used when an actress is starring in such songs.
