The horror-comedy is a sequel to T-Series Films’ 2007 hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja and Vidya Balan in lead roles.

Kartik Aaryan has become a hot property after the humongous success of his last films like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) and Luka Chuppi (2019). Today, several well-known filmmakers are ready to bet money on him without thinking twice.

Kartik Aaryan recently wrapped up shooting for renowned filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s next Aaj Kal with newcomer Sara Ali Khan. He is currently shooting for T-Series Films and B.R. Studios’ hugely anticipated comic-caper Pati Patni Aur Woh, which is slated to enter theatres on December 6.

The actor will soon start shooting for Dharma Productions’ much-awaited film Dostana 2. As the title suggests itself, the movie is a sequel to the 2008 hit Dostana, starring Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan. Apart from Kartik Aaryan, Dostana 2 also stars Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role.

The latest we hear that the rising Bollywood star has been roped in to headline the forthcoming horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to the 2007 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The news has been confirmed by the makers and the first look of Kartik Aaryan has been dropped. In the poster, the talented actor can be seen donning similar outfit which superstar Akshay Kumar had worn in the first poster of Bhool Bhulaiyaa more than a decade ago.

Aside from casting, there are some changes in other departments of the film as well. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa was directed by celebrated filmmaker Priyadarshan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be helmed by director Anees Bazmee who has a number of successful comic-capers to his credit.

Along with the first look and poster, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have also announced the release date of the horror-comedy. The movie will arrive in theatres on July 31, 2020.
