Karan Johar reveals that Lakshya, who started out his acting career with television, has been finalized to play the parallel lead in “Dostana 2” after a round of auditions.

Karan Johar proves it once again that his production house - Dharma Productions - does not only launch star-kids but it also provides equal opportunities to deserving outsiders also.

After providing a successful launch-pad to Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the past, Karan Johar is now gearing up to launch Lakshya.

The handsome actor will make his silver screen debut with Dharma Productions’ hugely anticipated film Dostana 2. A sequel to the 2008 blockbuster Dostana, Dostana 2 also stars Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film will be directed by debutant filmmaker Collin D’Cunha.

Lakshya is not new to acting. He has been a part of several successful shows on Indian television before. But now, he is set to plunge into the glamorous world of Bollywood with Dostana 2. According to reports, Karan Johar has signed a four-project contract with Lakshya, which includes films and digital projects.
