Karan Johar recently announced that one of his much-delayed productions Drive will directly premiere on Netflix instead of having a traditional theatrical release. While some people were indeed glad to know that the movie was finally going to see the light of day, others wondered what led the filmmaker to opt for a digital release of his production.

Drive stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. Both are working together for the first time. They both play race car drivers in Drive.
The action entertainer has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani, who is known for his 2008 comic-caper Dostana. Netflix is yet to announce the premiere date of the film, though some sources reveal it may start steaming on the platform in October.
