July Box Office Collection: Kabir Singh, Super 30 And Disney Films Joins The Rs 100 Crore Club

July is definitely a blockbuster-studded month with several films to join the Rs 100 crore club from Bollywood films like Super 30 and Kabir Singh to Hollywood films like Spider-Man: Far From Home and The Lion King. In addition to that, the newcomer Judgementall Hai Kya which stars Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut also made an impressive debut in the first weekend.
Kabir Singh And The Rs 275 Core Story
Hitting the theatres on June 21, Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh has collected Rs 141 crore only in July and Rs 275 crore in total.
Helmed by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the romantic drama is a remake of his own Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Apart from being the 10th most successful Hindi film of all time, it is also the second-biggest film of the year in India topped by Avenger: Endgame which crossed Rs 373 crore at the box office.
Super 30 Entered The Rs 100 Crore Club
Eighteen days after the release, Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 has become the latest Bollywood film to join the Rs 100 Core Club with Rs 125 crore of box office collection in total.
The Vikas Bahl directional revolves around Anand Kumar, a Bihari mathematician, and his journey to help 30 underprivileged students to pass the IIT-JEE examinations.
Article 15
Meanwhile, Ayushmann Khurrana’s crime drama Article 15, which was released on June 18 is also doing great at the box office with Rs 6 core in total. In fact, its business would have been better if it wasn’t released during the World Cup.
With mixed incidents, the film which is loosely based on the Badaun gang-raped case when two girls were raped and hanged to death is tended to point out the caste discrimination in the society.
Judgementall Hai Kya
Despite an underwhelming start with only Rs 4.5 crore in the opening Friday, Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut’s Judgementall Hai Kya was able to make Rs 21.5 crore in the first four days and received positive reviews from critics and the audience.
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Another Hollywood member to enter the Rs 100 Crore Club is the follow-up of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home. Meanwhile, it has become the first installment of Marvel's Spider-Man franchise to crossed the $1 billion mark globally.
The Lion King
The live-action remake of Disney classic has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark after only two weeks. It is also the fourth Disney film to cross the milestone, preceded by The Jungle Book, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
