In an interview in the last couple of days, Tanushree Dutta denounced that actor Nana Patekar sexually abused her on the set of film ten years ago.
Amitabh and Aamir evaded responding to Tanushree's accusation
At the Thursday pre-launch campaign to advertise the upcoming movie Thugs of Hindostan, facing the questions of Tanushree's allegation, Amitabh Bachchan gave an evasive response. "Neither am I Tanushree, nor am I Nana Patekar, so how can I comment on this?" That is Bachchan's answer, according to the journalist Ankur Pathak.
Similarly, Aamir Khan, an actor co-starred with Amitabh in Thugs of Hindostan, also avoided a direct answer. He said that he was unable to give any ideas because he didn't know the details about this problem. However, he felt that it was a sorrow matter and needed investigating if something like that really happened, reported Pinkvilla.
Tanushree Dutta accused the actor Nana Patekar of misbehavior towards her on the movie shoot Horn OK Pleassss in 2008. The director and choreographer of the film also suffered the same fate when she alleged that they also involve in her sexual harassment for years.
In the same manner, Amitabh also showed clever behavior when avoiding straight comments on Priyanka Chopra's problem. Specifically, Priyanka Chopra wore an inappropriate skirt in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in last year's meeting in Berlin. Before this trolling incident, Amitabh only joked that he didn't know how to respond because he was neither the Prime Minister nor Priyanka Chopra.
The similar reaction of Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani to the casting couch
Similarly, when asked to give opinions about choreographer Saroj Khan's defensive comments on the casting couch, actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Rajkumar Hirani didn't criticize sexual exploitation in the film industry. Instead, Ranbir said that he had never faced it and it was the "worst" matter if it existed in Bollywood. Meanwhile, on a video shared in social media, Hirani could be seen smiling when Ranbir gave his answer.
Thugs of Hindostan is regarded as one of the most expensive Bollywood film. It is an action adventure movie about the Indian war of independence against Britain with full of naval and sword battles. In addition to Amitabh and Aamir, the principal cast also includes Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
