Hrithik Roshan, who is presently riding high on the massive success of his latest film War (2019), is rumoured to be joining hands with filmmaker Farah Khan for his next.
Buzz has it that Farah Khan is remaking Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini’s cult 1982 film Satte Pe Satta wherein Hrithik Roshan has been lined up to play the same role which Senior Bachchan played in the original.
The original film, which was a remake of 7 Brides For 7 Brothers (1954), revolved around seven brothers with superstar Amitabh Bachchan playing the eldest one.
As per reports, Hrithik Roshan also loved the script of the remake but wants his role to be meatier.
If Hrithik Roshan agrees to come onboard, Satte Pe Satta will be his second remake of an Amitabh Bachchan film. In 2012, he starred in Dharma Productions’ Agneepath which was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1990’s film of the same name. While the original film received a lukewarm response from the audience, the remake went on to become one of the highest-grossing movies of 2012.
The superstar is also reuniting with his father Rakesh Roshan for the fourth instalment of the Krrish franchise. According to reports, Krrish 4 will mount the shooting floor in mid-2020. An official announcement confirming the same is awaited though.
