In late 2016, the actress Fatima Sana Shaikh marked a significant turning point in her career with Nitesh Tiwari’s blockbuster Dangal starring the actor Aamir Khan.
After that collaboration with Aamir, it was rumoured that there was something in the relationship between the young actress and the seasoned actor Aamir Khan. Two years later, they had the opportunity to meet again in the movie 2018 Thugs Of Hindostan. Subsequently, the rumours were even more widely spread.
Giving an interview, Fatima acknowledged her feeling of being disturbed by the rumours with Aamir. She felt extremely “weird” when her mother showed her those kinds of news “Your photo has come”. At that moment, she had a response like “Read the headline to know what's written."
Initially, in addition to her sense of disturbance, she had a feeling that it was necessary to explain this buzz clearly. She believed that when someone was “accused” based on the baseless rumours, “the first instinct is to come out and tell, 'Listen, why do you think it is like this?' If you are an aggressive person, you will attack. If you are a submissive person, even then you will talk about it," confided she.
Nonetheless, at present, she isn’t influenced by those false rumours any more. She feels there is no need to provide an explanation for those whispers. “I feel no matter what you do, people will talk about you. No point getting affected by it," stated she.
