Ananya Panday Takes A Cue From Shah Rukh Khan For Her Scene In "Pati Patni Aur Woh"

Ananya Panday made her confident debut in the industry with Student of The Year 2 previously this year and now, the actress will be next seen in her new movie Pati Patni Aur Woh. Talking with a leading daily, the actress divulged that she was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan when she filmed a scene taking place at a railway station.

In particular, the scene was her introductory installment in the Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer. Filmmaker Mudassar Aziz asked Ananya to take reference from Shah Rukh’s scene in Main Hoon Na where he can be seen getting off a train. The director wanted the actress to do it properly right in the first attempt because the shooting site was in Kanpur railway depot and it was crowded.

Ananya shared that director Mudassir Aziz wanted her to watch the scene of Shah Ruk Khan as he aspired a similar impact for her part in the film. She was elated as she has been a big fan of SRK and always adored him since forever.

She also added that regarding such scenes, referring to Shah Rukh Khan is the best as the actor is able to make every scene very realistic. Ananya aspired to pull off the effect likewise and she has tried her best.

Pati Patni Aur Woh is recreated from the 1979 same-name comedy. In the movie, while Bhumi Pednekar and Kartik Aaryan act as wife and husband, Ananya takes on the "woh" role in the married couple’s relationship. The movie also features Aparshakti Khurana as a supporting role.

After this flick, Ananya will appear on the screens alongside Ishaan Khatter in Khaali Peeli. The Dhadak star made an announcement about the movie when he posted on Instagram and captioned it “ek dedh shana, ek item, ek taxi aur ek raat ki kahani”.

Khaali Peeli will be a Maqbool Khan directorial and a Zee Studios, Himanshu Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar production.
