Having directed "Happy New Year" in 2014, Farah Khan is returning to direction after a gap of five years. Her next is rumoured to be a remake of the 1982 cult film "Satte Pe Satta", starring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini.

Farah Khan is returning to direction after a huge gap of five years. Her last directorial was Happy New Year (2014), featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Talking about her next, rumours are rife in the industry circuit that she is set to remake cult film Satte Pe Satta (1982), which featured legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles.
While there are many speculations about the casting of the much-talked-about movie, Farah Khan has just confirmed that she, along with producer Rohit Shetty, will be announcing every detail about the film within a month. Khan is directing the upcoming film for Rohit Shetty’s banner Rohit Shetty Picturez.

In the past few months, several names have been linked to Khan’s film. From Hrithik Roshan to Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma to Priyanka Chopra, multiple names have cropped up to be cast in the flick, but the makers are yet to announce who has finally bagged the much-awaited movie.
Meanwhile, Farah Khan is also making her digital debut as a producer. She is currently producing an upcoming Netflix film, Mrs Serial Killer. Her husband Shirish Kunder is directing the project, while Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina play important roles in it.
