As the Femina Miss India 2019 taking place at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday was done and dusted, the name of the new winner was finally unveiled. Suman Rao from Rajasthan’s Rajsamand has crowned the beauty pageant under her belt.

She is a college student
Born on 23 November 1999, Suman is pursuing the study (Chartered Accountancy course and B.Com) in New Delhi.
Suman hails from Rajasthan
Rajasthan is the place she was born but Mumbai is where Suman was brought up. For those unversed, the 20-year-old beauty queen also has won the title of Miss India Rajasthan 2019.
The representative of India in Miss World 2019
The new Miss India Suman Rao is gearing up to represent the country in the most prestigious beauty contest Miss World 2019 taking place in Pattaya, Bangkok, Thailand in December.
During the Miss India Competition, she also won another award
Suman Rao added another feather in her cap while Miss India 2019 competition was underway. She brought home the award of Miss Rampwalk.
She has a huge passion for dancing
The beauty has a huge interest in dancing and she’s also learning Kathak which is one of eight major forms of Indian classical dance.
She is fully aware of gender inequality and stereotypes
"I come from a community where gender inequality and other stereotypes are still into existence, so when I saw two primary choices in front of me, to either accept the conditions those were in existence or to take the responsibility for changing the same, I chose the latter one," she said.
Basketball is her go-to sport
She is one of a few beauties who are fond of playing sport rather than hitting the gym like many others.
