Deepika Padukone Is Spotted With Burn Marks On The Set Of "Chhapaak"

The queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone and her co-star Vikrant Massey was spotted on Delhi streets on the set her upcoming film Chhapaak. Taking the role of an acid attack survivor, Deepika is rolling with one of the most challenging roles in her career. Helmed by a female director Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak tells the story of a young girl name Malti (inspired by Laxmi Agarwal). At the age of 15, she had to suffer from a severe acid attack but took it in stride to become an activist and an influencer.

While the inspiring movie started being shot on Delhi streets, Deepika Padukone’s first look in the role of Malti has been spread out over the internet. The actress donned a white and yellow kurta set, riding a bike with Vikrant in a popular market in Delhi. In the role of an acid attack survivor, her transformation is impressive with dark skin and look-like-real burn marks. Her long ebony locks will immediately remind us of Laxmi.

There Are An Opportunity And Responsibility To Work With Deepika

This is the first time for Deepika and Vikrant to team up in a movie. Talking about his experience working with a superstar, Vikrant said that it was not only an opportunity but responsibility. “ I’m both nervous and excited,”  said the actor.

Meanwhile, the Padmavati star talks about the film as it was not only about violence but courage and strength, victory and hope. It was a moving story which struck a chord on her. That’s why she decided to go beyond this, to be the producer of the film.
