After making a flying start with the collection of Rs 70 crores in the opening weekend, Kabir Singh has finally marked its name in the Rs 100-crore club.

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani-starrer Kabir Singh has raised the wrath of critics for the misogyny, though the film is still cooking up a real storm at the ticket windows. Despite mixed reviews, the film has crossed Rs 100 crore on the day 5 of its theatrical run.

After making a flying start with the collection of Rs 70 crores in the opening weekend, Kabir Singh has finally marked its name in the Rs 100-crore club.

As per early estimates, the film collected roughly Rs 15 crore on Tuesdays and took the film’s total collection to approximately Rs 103.37 crore. Releasing in more than 3000 screens across the nation, Kabir Singh is doing wonders at both single screens and multiplexes.

The Jodi Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani are now on top of the world with this incredible success of the film. It came as a surprise when the film’s business hasn’t been affected despite it got leaked online. This grand success is bound to boost Shahid Kapoor’s career.

To celebrate this important milestone, Shahid took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of himself with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and co-star Kiara Advani. “These weekend numbers got us all like #kabirsingh,” he wrote.

The Hindi remake of Telugu-language blockbuster Arjun Reddy (2017) shattered the record and became Shahid Kapoor’s biggest opener in the actor’s career.

Despite garnering positive reviews from the audiences and the critics alike, the film has been negatively reviewed by a few. While many cannot stop heaping praises on Shahid’s terrific performance, the way the movie glorifies substance abuse and toxic masculinity make many bewilder.
