If 2019 was an ups-and-downs year for the film industry with several blockbusters and overrated films at the same time, 2020 is said to be a promising year with a lot of big projects slated to hit the screen. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar

Helmed and produced by Dibakar Banerjee, the film is a black comedy-drama starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the important roles. The film was initially scheduled to hit the screen on 20 March 2020 but it has been postponed until now due to the ongoing pandemic.

Sooryavanshi

March 2020 could become a lively month of the year with several new releases including a highly awaited film Sooryavanshi.

The action film is the fourth installment in the hit police universe of director Rohit Shetty. Starring Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and diva Katrina Kaif, the film was slated to release on 24 March 2020 but because of the above-mentioned reason, the film release date was delayed.

This Akshay Kumar upcoming movie is definitely one of the most awaited films of the year 2020.

The list of upcoming Bollywood movies cannot complete without mentioning the sports drama 83 starring Bollywood blue-eyed boy Ranveer Singh and his superstar wife Deepika Padukone.

Also due to the pandemic-related reason, the film which was initially set to release on 10 April has postponed its release date.

Gulabo Sitabo

The film which is set in Lucknow stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan and award-winning actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Unlike many other films, the makers decided to stream worldwide on Prime Video from 12 June instead of postponing its release date.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl also faces the same situation as other Bollywood upcoming movies because of the pandemic. Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios, the film stars Bollywood young starlet Janhvi Kapoor in the title role of the Indian Air Force pilot.

Like Big B’s film, Gunjan Saxena is also set to premiere on the OTT platform, Netflix.

Coolie No 1

It’s not far off the mark to say rarely does it have a year witnessing the release of many big projects like 2020. Featuring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, the film is the remake of 1995 namesake. It was initially set to be theatrically released on May 1 but has also been postponed.

Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai

Here come the long-expecting Salman Khan upcoming movie in 2020!

Starring Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani, and Jackie Shroff, Radhe is, needless to say, one of the biggest films of the year. The film which is the remake version of South Korean blockbuster Veteran is slated to hit the theater on Eid-ul-Fitr 2020, 24 May, but it has also been delayed due to the same reason.

Laxmmi Bomb

The remake of South drama Muni 2: Kanchana, it marks the second film of Akshay Kumar upcoming movie being postponed within a year. Also featuring Kiara Advani, the release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Shamshera

Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in the lead role, the film is slated to hit the theater on 31 July. Shamshera is set in the 1800s backdrop with Ranbir Kapoor playing a double role. It’s one of the Bollywood upcoming movies that have grabbed eyeballs.

Gangubai Kathiawadi

If you are questioning where Alia Bhatt’s film in this list, then there is the answer. The biographical crime film features Bollywood star Alia Bhatt in the title role. The film which is based on a chapter in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai will be released on 11 September.

Akshay Kumar has three films set to be released during this year but only Prithviraj has not been postponed yet. The film is slated to hit the theater on Diwali 2020.

Brahamastra

One of the most awaited films of the year 2020 is hands down Brahamastra which marks the first collaboration between B-town’s hottest couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It’s slated to hit the screen on 4 December. However, the movie hasn't released its trailer yet. Ranbir is also hesitant to answer questions on the delay of this movie.

Krrish 4

Last but not least, Hrithik Roshan is back. 2019 was a super successful year for the actor with two back-to-back blockbusters. At the end of 2020, he will great the silver screen audiences with another highly anticipated film titled Krissh 4. The film is scheduled to release in around December 2020.
