1. Simmba: Rs 240.22 crore

The 14th work in Rohit Shetty’s directing career broke many records at the domestic box office. Simmba was not only the eighth consecutive movie to rank among the desirable Rs 100 crore group but also the highest opener of Ranveer until now. Moreover, the film marked the successful debut of Sara Ali Khan and the first cooperation of Ranveer and Rohit. Also, Simmba was reported to be one of 10 Bollywood big hits of all time.

2. Padmaavat: Rs 302.15 crore

Padmaavat is the 16th masterpiece in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's career that owns the highest grossing among movies released on Republic Day. The blockbuster having the cooperation of Ranveer Singh (Allaudin Khilji) and Deepika Padukone (Rani Padmavati) received positive reactions from both critics and audiences, especially for the excellent performance of Ranveer. Reportedly, Padmaavat was the third movie of Ranveer in the Rs 100 crore group after Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

3. Befikre: Rs 60.24 crore

The romantic chemical reaction between Vaani Kapoor and Ranveer Singh couldn't save the cliched content of the Yash Raj Films production. Despite the tremendous hype of the production house, Befikre only brought Rs 5.24 of profit after releasing.

4. Bajirao Mastani: Rs 184.2 crore

In December 2015, Sanjay Leela Bhansali introduced a new blockbuster, Bajirao Mastani, created a big bang in Bollywood, collected Rs 184.2 crore at the box office. With interesting content, high entertainment quotient, and romantic chemical reaction between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the film received lots of compliments from the critics. Shubhra Gupta, Indian Express’ film critic, wrote complimented on Ranveer's performance: “It is hard to imagine anyone else as Bajirao after Singh finishes chewing up the part, and owning the film – he swaggers, struts and ruts, an actor fully enjoying himself.”

5. Dil Dhadakne Do: Rs 76.88 crore

Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, and Priyanka Chopra brought happy smiles through their dysfunctional family in Dil Dhadakne Do. Yet the Zoya Akhtar’s movie received a lot of debate among critics.
