In the latest Instagram post, director Ayan Mukerji revealed the reason why he wrote Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer "Brahmastra".

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is one of the most awaited movies of the year. One month ago, the director made his Instagram debut and has been sharing updates about his upcoming release Brahmastra featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Mouni Roy. Recently, the director took to Instagram to describe how the Himalayas helped inspire his next movie Brahmastra.

Ayan Mukerji is a very unique filmmaker, who relies on natural instincts and likes to think outside the box. Earlier, Ayan took to his social media handle and shared that it took him eight long years to write and conceptualise Brahmastra.

The mountains have a special place in Mukerji's heart. He had shot parts of his Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani partly in Manali, and Kashmir. Brahmastra is scheduled to hit theatres in December.
