Athlete Dutee Chand Feels Kangana Ranaut Will Fit The Bill For Her Biopic

Dutee Chand has been grabbing a lot of limelight of late and for all the right reasons. The professional sprinter and current national champion in the 100 meters event has won several medals in her career so far. In 2018, she won silver in women's 100 meters at the Jakarta Asian Games, which was the first medal of India in this event since 1998.

Dutee Chand made it to headlines once again when she came out of the closest and revealed being in a same-sex relationship. It was indeed a historic moment in the history of Indian sports as she became the first athlete in the country to speak openly about her sexual orientation.

In her recent interview with an Indian daily, Dutee Chand revealed that several Bollywood big-wigs such as Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra have approached her to make a biopic on her life.

When asked about who she thinks should play her on the silver screen, Dutee said,

Biopics based on the lives of sportsmen and sportswomen have always caught the fancy of Bollywood. In recent years, we have seen dozens of biopics chronicling the eventful lives of sportsmen and minting huge money at the box office. We hope Dutee Chand’s biopic also creates ripples upon its release. An official announcement is awaited though.
