Anurag Basu Directorial Titled Ludo; To Enter Theatres On April 24

Anurag Basu is returning to direction with "Ludo" after his 2017 release "Jagga Jasoos", starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

After a long wait, filmmaker Anurag Basu finally has an official title for his next directorial offering, which he wrapped up a couple of weeks ago. Featuring an amazing ensemble cast which includes the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, his next film has been titled Ludo.

The upcoming venture, which has been shot in cities like Bhopal, Kolkata and Mumbai, centres on unavoidable jeopardies of life and has four different stories set in a quintessential Indian metro. After from announcing the official title of the movie, Anurag Basu also unveiled its first poster. The makers have also changed the theatrical release date of the film. Earlier scheduled to hit the marquee on 13th March, 2020.


Ludo will now enter theatres on April 24, 2020.

This is not the first time when the release date of the forthcoming film has been deferred. Earlier it was set to buzz into cinemas on 6th September, 2019, which was later changed to 24th January, 2020. Then the makers decided to release it on 13th March, 2020. But now, Ludo is slated to roll in theatres on 24th April, 2020.

Presented by T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions, Ludo is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anurag Basu, Taani Somarita Basu and Krishan Kumar. Directed by Anurag Basu, the movie is set to release on 24th April, 2020.

Upon its release, Ludo will clash with writer-filmmaker Rumi Jaffery’s much-talked-about mystery thriller Chehre. The movie stars megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi and Krystle D’Souza in lead roles. Produced by Anand Pandit, Chehre also releases on 24th April, 2020. It will be interesting to see which film becomes the first pick of the audience.
