Amitabh Bachchan Asked Shah Rukh Khan For Bonus After Delivering Big Hit "Badla"

Amitabh Bachchan was set to play the leading role in Badla, which later became the biggest blockbuster that Red Chillies Entertainment (Shah Rukh Khan’s production banner) has ever made. Veteran Amitabh Bachchan jokingly asked SKR for a bonus after the mega-success of the movie.

Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh have engaged in friendly banter on Twitter for a couple of days. He gave a real-life situation occurring in a company, if their achievement is beyond the imagination, surely the staff will receive an extra amount of money as an encouragement. So now this is Amitabh’s demanding, “So, where’s my bonus?”

This is the way the actor responded to a statement from SRK’s tweet, in which he’d said that Badla was a success only because of Amitabh’s stardom. Bachchan had earlier tweeted that the film's box office success had been ignored by the industry. "About time someone started talking about this silent success !! Because neither the producer, nor the distributor, nor the online producer, or any else in the industry, in general, has even spent a nanosecond to compliment the success of this film Badla," he had written.

As per reports, Badla, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, has grossed a total of Rs 132.4 crore worldwide while it was made with a production cost of Rs 10 crore. According to a trade analyst, Badla was a ‘super hit’ under Shah Rukh Khan’s banner. This was a get-together chance of Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, and Sujoy Ghosh.

Amitabh reminded SRK that Badla was the highest grossing movie in King Khan’s career. He wrote, “but for this budget and this return, (Badla is) one of the biggest.” In Badla, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a defense lawyer Badal Gupta, who has been assigned to prepare Naina (Taapsee Pannu), accused of murdering her paramour, for her trial.

Under Red Chillies’s umbrella are Zero, Raees, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Chennai Express, Dilwale and many on.  On the movie front, Amitabh wrapped up with A-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in mainline in a fantasy movie Brahmastra, helmed by Nagraj Manjule.
