Akshay Kumar’s Role In Sci-Fi Film “Mission Mangal” Revealed

Besides Akshay Kumar, “Mission Mangal” also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in important roles. The film is scheduled to hit screens on 15th August, 2019.

Akshay Kumar, last seen in Dharma Productions’ patriotic drama, Kesari (2019), is now gearing up for the release of his next film, Mission Mangal. As the title suggests itself, the movie is based on a group of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, which marked India's first interplanetary expedition.
On Thursday, Akshay Kumar shared a note regarding the much-awaited movie. It read:
Though fans seemed quite excited to know that Akshay Kumar is doing yet another sci-fi film after 2.0 (2018), nobody has much information on the character that the superstar is playing in the flick. Some media reports earlier suggested that he has an extensive cameo in the movie. However, if fresh reports are to be believed, the superstar has a full-fledged role in Mission Mangal.
According to reports, Akshay Kumar is playing a senior scientist in the movie.
Mission Mangal, also starring Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in important roles, marks the directorial debut of South filmmaker, Jagan Shakti. Produced by Fox Star Studios, Hope Productions and Cape Of Good Films, the film is scheduled to enter theatres on 15th August on the occasion of Independence Day.
