Akshay Kumar is one of the busiest stars in Bollywood, who has almost half a dozen films in his hand at any given point of time. He is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Mission Mangal.
Loosely based on the story of scientists at ISRO who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission, Mission Mangal also stars Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi and Kirti Kulhari. The much-awaited movie is set to release on Independence Day on August 15.
The latest news about Akshay Kumar is that he might come onboard to do a cameo in T-Series Films’ upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As the title suggests itself, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a sequel to the 2007 hit horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa where Akshay Kumar played the male lead.
The sequel features rising star Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. As far as the female lead is concerned, the makers are considering Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.
The makers are keen to have Akshay Kumar onboard for a special appearance as he headlined the original film. “The makers are planning to have Akshay Kumar for a special appearance for the sequel. However, nothing has been confirmed yet,” reveals a source close to the development to an entertainment portal.
After Mission Mangal, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s multi-starrer Housefull 4, which is set to release on 26th October. His last release for the year 2019 will be Dharma Productions’ Good News slated to roll into theatres on 27th December.
Kumar will kick off 2020 with the release of Rohit Shetty’s cop-drama Sooryavanshi, followed by Raghava Lawrence’s horror-comedy Laxmmi Bomb.
