Akshay Kumar On Working With New Directors, “Because Big Directors Don’t Take Me”

After months of waiting, the new song of the hotly anticipated film Good Newwz finally released and it has been trending already. Starring Bollywood big shots Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film has created quite a buzz among the audiences since the trailer was out. Akshay is now leaving no stone unturned for the film promotion.

The fact is that Good Newwz also marked the directorial debut of Raj Mehta and also the 21^st time of working with a newbie director of Akshay Kumar.

Explaining for such collaborations, Akshay, in an interview, revealed that he actually didn’t dream of teaming up with newcomers. It’s just because big names don’t take him, then he has to start his own journey.

He said,

On being asked that if big directors were interested in collaborating with the Khans only, Akshay’s reply is bound to make many doff their hat off to him. The superstar said big director only approached those who deserved and he affirmed that not only the Khans, the Kapoors or the others also were around. However, he presumes he didn’t deserve it, so he earned it himself.

Elaborating further over the same, the actor continued to talk about collaborating with young directors. He heaped praises on the greed of young people which is something he considers is even greater than a lot of senior directors.

The actor said,
