According to some reports, Indian Air Force carried out a strike across the Line of Control earlier this morning to target the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed. This strike came two weeks after the terror attack in Pulwama where more than 40 soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed by one suicide bomber of the Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The strike by IAF took place around 3.30 am using a dozen Mirage 2000 fighter jets. A large number of terrorists, senior commanders, trainers, and groups of suicide bombers planning terror strikes were eliminated. ANI reported that this is the second strike by Indian Government led by PM Narendra Modi, after the Uri surgical strike.
Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale just released one official statement as saying,
Following the attacks, a lot of Bollywood celebrities and Television actors took to their social media handles to congratulate and praise the Indian Air Force for its operation including Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, John Abraham, and Sonu Sood. Bollywood star Akshay Kumar also took to Twitter to hail the Army.
On the professional front, Akshay Kumar is currently preparing for his upcoming movie named Good News, directed by Raj Mehta. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in the pivotal roles. The trailer of his other film Kesari was just dropped online which gave us a first look into the mind of Akshay’s character Ishar Singh. Kesari is a war drama, which is based upon the Battle of Saragarhi and directed by Anurag Singh. The film also has Parineeti Chopra in the lead role. It is set to hit the theatres on 21st March 2019.
