Akshay Kumar Joins Sara Ali Khan & Dhanush On The Cast Of “Atrangi Re”

Akshay Kumar is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after actors in the tinsel town of Bollywood. Today, every filmmaker wants to work with him more than once because his presence in a film ensures great box-office results. The superstar already has close to half a dozen films on his platter, but his name keeps getting linked to several projects every now and then.

After months of speculations, it has been finally confirmed that Akshay Kumar is teaming up with acclaimed filmmaker Aanand L Rai for his next directorial offering. Titled Atrangi Re, the upcoming film also features Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in lead roles. While Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan are working with Aanand L Rai for the first time, Dhanush is teaming up with the filmmaker after their superhit film Raanjhanaa in 2013.

Sharing his excitement over joining hands with Aanand L Rai, Akshay Kumar said in a statement that he is thrilled to be working with Aanand L Rai as he has always admired the way he has showcased his stories. The superstar revealed that when the filmmaker narrated the film to him, he said yes to it within ten minutes. He added that it is a very challenging character to play but at the same time it is such a special role that his heart just couldn’t say no to it and he will remember it for the rest of my life.

The superstar also said that his combination with Sara and Dhanush truly makes it true to its title – Atrangi! And that he knows that Aanand in his special and simple way of storytelling will only add magic to it.

Meanwhile, Kumar is awaiting the release of his much-awaited film Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the cop-drama releases on 27^th March 2020.
