After Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra To Play A Spy In Abhishek Dudhaiya’s Bhuj: The Pride of India?

Rumour has it that Parineeti Chopra will be playing a spy in Abhishek Dudhaiya’s Bhuj: The Pride of India, which is similar to what Alia Bhatt did as Sehmat in the Meghna Gulzar directorial.

Bhuj: The Pride of India is based upon the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Written and directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film also stars Ajay Devgn as an Indian Air Force squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airport at the time.

Alia Bhatt had got into the skin of the spy in the Meghna Gulzar directorial Raazi, which emerged to be one of 2018’s biggest blockbusters. Alia was showered with lots of praise for her brilliant performance in this movie as well as received numerous awards including a Filmfare award for Best Actress.

Parineeti Chopra did not get enough screen time in her last blockbuster Kesari in which she starred as the wife of Akshay Kumar's character. She even shared that she did this movie for a song that Karan played for her in an interview with Mumbai Mirror. She said,

Apart from Bhuj: The Pride of India, the 30-year-old actress also has several films in the pipeline. Parineeti will be sharing the screen space again with Arjun Kapoor in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. She will also be reuniting with Sidharth Malhotra in Jabariya Jodi.

Parineeti Chopra has recently signed up for the Saina Nehwal biopic after Shraddha Kapoor opted out from the project. She also took to her Instagram to confirm the news.
