"Sacred Games 2" Starcast Says Expect More Drama And Speed From The Series

In a series of images released on Netflix's Instagram handle they have raised the ante for their upcoming Independence Day release, Sacred Games 2. Netflix presented its lead cast in a different attire altogether.

The images were of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Pankaj Tripathi, Surveen Chawla, Kalki Koechlin, Jatin Sarna, and Luke Kenny.

The theme for the photoshoot seems to be classic retro. The images certainly give out the gangster vibe that the series had throughout their first season. But interestingly some people were missing the list. Public's favorite Kubra Sait who portrayed the famous character of Kuckoo, Anjali Mathur played by Radhika Apte and the evergreen Constable Katekar played by Jitendra Joshi were the surprise misses.

Styled by Tanya Ghavri and Mohit Rai, the entire cast and crew were looking fabulously awesome. The most important thing to note was that the actors were portraying their stylish self than the on-screen gritty avatars.

Uploading a group picture Netflix quoted on Instagram, "Meet the cast of Sacred Games 2 reimagined as gangsters from the ’70s. They might play gritty characters on screen, but this ultra-glam shoot tells us a whole different story. Here’s a sneak peek into the exciting new season, and what each character has to offer".

The lead stylist Tanya Ghavri had to say, "We handpicked pieces from various designers, high-street labels, and the actors’ vintage collections, and the final ensembles channeled the decade’s anti-conformist, chic approach to fashion."

Saif Ali Khan spoke about the upcoming show and how eagerly he was to watch it on Netflix. The actor said, "Sacred Games Season 2 has been a very creative experience with some bright people putting their best foot forward, being as intelligent as they can, being as artistic as they can, and that’s not an environment that you find every day.

It pretty much picks up from where the season 1 ends. While season 1 set the stage, this season develops it further and deals more with the inner workings of Sartaj’s mind, personality, background, family, and father. It’s a logical progression; there’s a little more action, there’s a little more speed and drama, and it’s also when the whole sacred angle comes in."
