Kareena Kapoor Khan has played a diverse range of characters in her two-decade long career in Hindi cinema. But if one has to pick that one character which has gained a cult like status over the years, it has to be Poo from filmmaker Karan Johar’s blockbuster directorial offering Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
A couple of months ago, KJo teased about a series based on the iconic character of Poo titled Poo Diaries, which he was planning to bankroll under Dharmatic Entertainment, a digital arm of his production house Dharma Productions. However, months have passed since the filmmaker first talked about the web-series, but there has been no further development on it since then.
But now, much to the delight of her fans, Kareena Kapoor Khan has herself dropped details on the forthcoming project. When the diva was recently asked whether or not she is playing the role of Poo again in the series, she said that she and Karan Johar are still in talks regarding the same. She also revealed that currently the show is at writing stage and the makers will be officially announcing it when the script is locked. The actress added that she has no idea as to when the makers are planning to begin the shoot.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan is presently busy promoting her upcoming film Good Newwz. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant filmmaker Raj Mehta, the movie also stars Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. Slated to release on 27th December, Good Newwz reunites the gorgeous actress with superstar Akshay Kumar after a huge gap of a decade. The duo last worked together on Kambakkht Ishq in 2010.
