“Fashion” Star Mugdha Godse All Set For Her Small Screen Debut

Mugdha Godse is one of the most popular names in the Indian fashion industry. In her heyday, she used to be one of the highest paid fashion models in the country.

When Mugdha was at the top of her game, she decided to venture into Bollywood. She made her acting debut with the 2008 film, Fashion, which was directed by National award-winning filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar.

Besides Mugdha Godse, Fashion also starred Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in important roles. But despite the presence of experienced actors like Priyanka and Kangana in the movie, Mugdha stood her grounds and delivered an impressive performance. Her performance was appreciated by one and all, be it critics or the audience.

However, after the release of the film, her career did not take off the way she would have thought. In later years, Mugdha went on to appear in some run-of-the-mill films such as Gali Gali Chore Hain (2012), Will You Marry Me (2012) and Kaagaz Ke Fools, which did no good to her career.

After staying away from the arc-light for a couple of years, Mugdha Godse is, reportedly, gearing up to face the camera once again. But this time around, she has chosen the television to show her acting talent. Yes, Mugdha Godse is all set to make her small screen debut with an upcoming show, tentatively titled Yo Yo Honey Singh.

The show will be telecast on Colors, one of the leading general entertainment channels in India. The actress will reportedly be seen sharing the screen space with popular television actor, Shivin Narang, who was most recently seen in Colors’ Internet Wala Love.

“Mugdha did a mock shoot with the production team recently. Her character requires her to sport dark outfits and dramatic make-up. The show revolves around a guy, who is blessed with superpowers,” a source close to the development reveals.

Well, we are surely excited to see Mugdha Godse on the small screen. We hope her television career turns out to be quite successful for the talented actress.
