“Betaal” Trailer: Shah Rukh Khan’s Netflix Series Will Scare The Heck Out Of You!

Betaal has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment. It stars Viineet Kumar and Aahana Kumra in lead roles.

Betaal, one of the hugely anticipated web series from Netflix India, is finally set for its grand premiere on the streaming media giant. The makers released the trailer of the horror series on Thursday along with announcing its official premiere date.

Starring a number of talented actors including Vineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Jitendra Joshi, Suchitra Pillai, Manjiri Pupala, and Syna Anand in important roles, Betaal is scheduled to start streaming on Netflix on May 24, 2020.

The trailer of Betaal revolves around a local police force, who are out to take on a group of cruel and bloodthirsty zombies that have awakened in a tomb and attack any living thing that crosses their path. There is also an ancient curse and a perplexing undead deity to contend with as well.

The official synopsis of series reads: “A remote village becomes the theatre of a breathless battle when a two-century-old Betaal, a British Indian Army officer, and his battalion of zombie redcoats are unleashed. With Indian police pitted against the undead army, hapless villagers are trapped in a horrific, edge-of-your-seat conflict.”

Betaal has been produced by superstar Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment. Her has previously produced Bard Of Blood (2019) for Netflix. Patrick Graham, who has earlier helmed horror miniseries Ghoul (2018) for Netflix, is the showrunner of the series.

The series has been executive-produced by Blumhouse Productions of Jason Blum. The same production house has previously produced such successful horror movies as Get Out (2017) and Paranormal Activity (2007). In addition to Blumhouse Productions, SK Global Entertainment, the company behind Crazy Rich Asians (2018), is also associated with the forthcoming series as executive producer.
