In fact, making liquor at home is much easier than you thought. Although you can make spirits with just sugar and yeast, it will be better to make alcohol from fruit juice (wine) as it will be tastier to drink. Here is all you need to make homemade wine at home in just 5 minutes.
To make alcohol from fruit juice at home, get yourself some simple ingredients as following:
- 3.7 little of fruit juice (pure or not is okay but it should be sugarless)
- 1 air-lock bubbler
- 1 bottle stopper
- ½ cup of cane sugar
- ¼ teaspoon wine yeast
Pour out half a cup of juice into a glass or bottle, add all the amount of yeast and sugar we have, tighten the lip and shake it well to make sure the yeast and sugar are dissolved. Pour the mixture back into the bottle but leaving a 3-centimeter space on the top. Set the cap loosely and leave it to rest in two days.
After two days, give the bottle another good shake again. Remember to tighten the lid when shaking it then loosen it after that. Repeat it after every 2 days until the 6th day.
On the 6th day of the brewing process, pour water into half of the airlock, push the stopper into the bottle first then add the airlock. Check it every day to make sure the water is always half of the airlock. It not only keeps your wine from being spoiled by insects and bacteria but also allows the gas to grow inside the bottle.
You will need to wait for a few more weeks until there is no bubble produced. That’s the right time to enjoy your fresh homemade wine. Bet that you have never tasted anything like this before.
In case you cannot find an airlock during the lockdown, you can make it on your own following the instruction:
