In 2017, Aamir Khan's film Dangal became a phenomenon in India cinema as it broke all the record, being the highest-grossing Indian film, the fifth highest grossing non-English film ever. With a budget of  ₹70 crore, the film then collected ₹2,125.3 crore worldwide and also becoming the highest-grossing sports film in the world.

Not only achieved enormous commercial success, but the film also received thunderous responses from the critics, therefore making it to number 12 in Top 100 Bollywood Movies Of All Time. 

Zaira Wasim who recently grabbing headlines all over the media also a star who came out from the success of Dangal. The blockbuster won her Most Promising Newcomer Awards given by Star Screen Awards, Best Supporting Actress Awards by National Film Awards.

Dangal is a biographical sports film under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, UTV Motion Pictures, and Walt Disney Pictures India. The film emotionally binds the audience in the story of a father and daughter. In the film, dad Mahavir Singh Phogat played by Aamir Khan tries to train his daughter Zaira Wasim's Geeta Phogat to become India's first world-class wrestlers.
