Tamannaah Bhatia, Ravi Kishan And Sudeep Talk About Working With "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" Star Chiranjeevi

The teaser of the much-awaited film of year Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy film teaser was unveiled today. The film is directed by Surender Reddy. It is a period epic action film and stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role.

Star cast like Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, and Tamannaah Bhatia are part of the supporting cast while Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a special role.

Tamannaah Bhatia, who was also part of the Baahubali franchise, said at the teaser launch event, “My role in this film is very different. The period film I did before this was very different. I am very happy that my name is associated with Sye Raa, as it is a story that everyone should know. I hope everyone loves the film, it is an important story of India’s freedom struggle.”

She added, “I would like to thank Surender Reddy sir, I have worked with him before and he always gives me something different to do. From the time I started working in south Indian films, I wanted to work with Chiranjeevi, and finally, it seems like my dream has come true. The moment I saw that I am sharing the screen with Chiranjeevi sir, it felt good.”

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Film is based on the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, said to be one of the first freedom fighters of India. He led a rebellion against the British East India Company in 1846 in the then Madras Presidency, more than ten years before the 1857 Revolt.

Kannada movie star Sudeep expressed his gratitude for having had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest stars in the Indian film industry in the upcoming film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.

“We’re lucky to be part of the film fraternity, which takes us to different parts (of the country),” said the actor at the teaser launch event. The main star cast, including Chiranjeevi, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia were present at the teaser launch. Producer Ram Charan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar were also in attendance.

The Pailwaan film star also heaped praises on Ram Charan for making this film. “People should have a son like Ram Charan. He made his father’s dream come true to such an extent,” he added.

Chiranjeevi had been wanting to make this film for a long time now. However, the project went into cold storage due to budget constraints at the time. It is said that this film has been made on a budget of Rs 200 crore.

Sudeep also said he feels happy when he gets offers from other parts of the country. “We all have our platforms. But stepping out of that and coming here and doing something because somebody else needs you; submitting to someone else’s dream is much more fulfilling than what we dream for ourselves. The same thing goes for Dabangg 3 also,” the actor stated.

Also, actor Ravi Kishan who plays a pivotal part in the multi-starrer spoke about his experience of working on the sets of the Surender Reddy directorial. “I had never thought I would get much love from south films. I just finished a Tamil film with Vijay Sethupathi sir, we wrapped it up two days ago. So this has been a lovely journey. It feels great to work with these guys, they are a school (pointing towards Chiranjeevi). Even standing behind them feels like I will now get moksha,” the actor stated.

The lead actor of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Chiranjeevi also talked about his role in the film. The actor said, “It is an untold story of an unsung hero, which I wanted to tell to everyone pan India. The story has been with me for more than a decade, but then I didn’t have the budget. Finally, it is happening, I am very happy.”

“When I was talking to my director, he said there is this role and if we can get Amitabh Bachchan for it, nothing will be like it. So I called Amitabh sir and told him about the role. He said, because you have called, I will do it. He immediately said yes. He is my real-life mentor. I feel there is only one megastar, and he is Amitabh Bachchan.

Working with him was an amazing experience and I am thankful to him,” said Chiranjeevi on being asked about his experience of working with Bachchan. When he was asked about his long disappearance, the actor reasoned, “I don’t know why this kind of a gap had come, but I didn’t get the right kind of content to do a film.”
