Sunil is undoubtedly one of the most loved comedians that Telugu cinema has produced. The actor, who has carved a niche for himself as a successful comedian, has surprised audiences with his unparalleled comic-timing and great sense of humour in several movies. Apart from tickling the funny bone of the audience in numerous comic-capers, Sunil has also played the lead role in several movies including Maryada Ramana, Poola Rangadu and Tadaka.
The actor has been lauded for his fine performances in all sorts of films and has even won two Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards, one of the highest awards of the Telugu film industry. He took the audience by surprise when he shed his comic image and played the villain in Ravi Teja’s recently released film Disco Raja and carried the role with great panache.
Looks like several filmmakers were impressed by his villainous act in Disco Raja and hence he has been getting a lot of such offers ever since the release of the film. Now, news has it that the versatile actor is all set to play the antagonist in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film with filmmaker Boyapati.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, speculations are rife that the versatile actor will star in the film. According to reports, it has been learnt that Sunil has already given his nod to it when the makers approached him for the role of the antagonist. The action entertainer also marks the third collaboration of Balakrishna and Boyapati. Bankrolled by Miryala Ravinder, the movie will have music by S. S. Thaman.
If reports are to be believed, the makers are planning to roll the camera on 15th February. The female lead of the film is yet to be locked and the makers are, reportedly, finding it tough to get the actress who fits the bill. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Sunil will also play the villain in the upcoming film Colour Photo which is to be directed by debutante Sandeep Raj.
