In Bollywood, Sonu Sood was last seen in filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Simmba (2018) alongside Ranveer Singh. Since then, the handsome actor has been keeping quite busy down South. His last release Sita (2019) was a Telugu film which did moderate business at the box-office. The latest we hear that after Sita, he has been signed on for yet another Telugu film.

Yes, according to reports, Sonu Sood has given his nod to star in filmmaker Santosh Srinivas’ forthcoming directorial venture. Headlined by Bellamkonda Srinivas, the action entertainer will feature Sonu Sood in the role of a villain. The project was recently launched with much fanfare.

Industry insiders say that Sood’s character in the untitled film is not a regular antagonist but a role with a difference, which is why the actor agreed to do it in the first place. We also hear that Sonu will perform some jaw-dropping action sequences in the movie.

Director Santosh Srinivas is of the opinion that a powerful antagonist makes the film more gripping and intense. That is why he roped in Sonu Sood for the role. Moreover, Sood is a popular face in the South.

A source informs a publication that had it been a regular villainous role, Sonu would have out rightly rejected it but this role has a different spin. While he had to undergo a makeover for his part, the actor’s antics and interesting gestures in the film will be something to watch out for. More details are expected to arrive soon.
