Shraddha Das Roped In To Play A Prostitute

Shraddha Das returns to do a full-fledged role in a Telugu movie after a gap of three years. She plays a prostitute in choreographer-turned-director Vidyasagar’s upcoming family drama.

Shraddha Das keeps hitting headlines every now and then for one reason or the other. The South Indian sensation is currently trending on social media for her hot and sizzling bikini pictures from her recent vacation to Bali. The latest buzz about her has it that she has been roped in for a big-ticket movie.

According to reports, Shraddha Das has been signed on to headline an upcoming Telugu film wherein she will play the character of a prostitute. The actress keeps appearing in Telugu movies frequently, but it will be after a gap of three years that she essays a full-fledged part in any Telugu film. Choreographer-turned-director Vidyasagar is calling the shots for the upcoming family drama.

Spilling some more details on the project, a source close to the development tells a publication that Shraddha Das plays actor Jagapati Babu’s love interest in the film. Jagapati Babu will be seen essaying the character of an industrialist who owns a big company engaged in the manufacturing of condoms. He hires prostitutes to feature in all the commercials for his products, which is when he meets Shraddha and the duo gradually fall in love.

The untitled project is an urban family drama. It starts rolling today on 5th January, 2020. The source goes on to add that Shraddha Das will be seen in the flashback portions of the movie, but her character is very crucial to the story. It is because of her character that several twists and turns take place in the storyline. Though the actress plays a prostitute in the movie, her character will be shown as an emotional girl and will be shown donning Indian attire.

The last Telugu film where Shraddha Das played the lead role was PSV Garuda Vega in 2017. She then did a cameo role in the 2019 film Hippi.
