"De De Pyaar De" Sexy Actress Rakul Preet Singh To Pair Up With Siddharth In “Indian 2”

According to reports, Kajal Aggarwal, Aishwarya Rajesh and Priya Bhavani Shankar also play female leads in the film. Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in to be romantically paired opposite actor Siddharth.

Rakul Preet Singh, who won millions of hearts with her endearing performance in her recent Bollywood release De De Pyaar De (2019), is bagging big films down South. Buzz has it that the gorgeous actress has been signed on to play one of the female leads in the much-awaited sequel to Shankar and megastar Kamal Haasan’s Indian (1996).

Rakul Preet Singh, whose last release in Kollywood was NGK (2019), will romance Siddharth in the big-ticket venture. Though there is no update on the nature of her role, insiders reveal it is an important character. The actress is reportedly quite psyched up about being a part of Indian 2 because it boasts of Shankar-Kamal Haasan’s combination.

Apart from Kamal Haasan and Siddharth, Indian 2 also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Aishwarya Rajesh and Priya Bhavani Shankar in principal characters. The film began its first schedule in the month of January earlier this year. However, after a few days, reports surfaced that the shoot has been called off.

If some reports are to be believed, the makers are looking at resuming the shoot from 2nd August onwards. An official announcement is awaited though.

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh is looking forward to the release of her next Hindi film titled Marjaavaan. Directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar, the action entertainer also features Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. Marjaavaan is slated to buzz into theatres on 2nd October, 2019.
