Rajinikanth Starrer “Darbar” Preponed; To Now Release On 9th January

Rajinikanth is playing a cop in the AR Murugadoss directorial “Darbar”. Earlier scheduled to release on 10th January, the movie has been preponed to 9th January.

Rajinikanth, one of the most revered stars of Indian cinema, will have his next date with theatres on 9th January, 2020. Yes, you heard it absolutely right! His much-awaited film Darbar, whose trailer has crossed millions of views on YouTube, will be hitting cinemas on 9th January, 2020. The action thriller was earlier scheduled to release on 10th January, but now the makers have decided to prepone it to 9th January.

Darba will be released one day earlier

If you were waiting for the release of the Rajinikanth starrer with bated breath, rejoice, as the new release date of the film has been announced as January 9, 2020. Earlier, it was pitted against two strong contenders from Bollywood – Chhapaak and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior – but with its date shifting to 9th January, the makers of both the aforementioned Hindi releases can heave a big sigh of relief.

Lyca Productions, the makers of Darbar, took to Twitter to make the announcement regarding the new release date of the movie. Fans are indeed thrilled about the upcoming film as superstar Rajinikanth will be seen in a cop role after a massive gap of 25 years.

The makers of the upcoming action entertainer are leaving no stone unturned in promoting their film to the hilt. The entire star cast is actively participating in promotions. Recently, the makers dropped a promo video of ‘Dumm Dumm’ song from the film, which shows a wedding celebration and features Rajinikanth and Nayanthara enjoying with hundreds of dancers.

Helmed by hit filmmaker AR Murugadoss, Darbar features an ensemble cast. In addition to Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, the film also has Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Nawab Shah, Dilip Tahil, Yogi Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Thambi Ramaiah and Jatin Sarna. Besides Tamil, Darbar will also be released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam on 9th January, 2020.
