Prabhu Deva And Tamannaah Bhatia Starrer "Khamoshi" Release Date Postponed, Here's The Reason!

The filmmakers decided to push "Khamoshi" release to avoid the clash with Tamil film "Devi 2" also starring Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah so that these two films can have equal box office success.

Tamannaah Bhatia and Prabhu Deva’s much-awaited film Khamoshi, which was initially set to hit the cinema on 31st May, will be rescheduled to release on 14th June.

According to the filmmakers, they decided to push the date to avoid the clash with Tamil film Devi 2 also starring Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah so that these two films can have equal box office success.

Helmed by director Chakri Toleti of Billa 2 fame and produced by of PYX Films, Khamoshi is a Hindi remake of Nayanthara starrer Kolaiyuthir Kaalam.

In the film, Tamannaah will get into the skin of a deaf and mute girl who gets trapped inside her own house while Prabhu will play the role of an antagonist. The horror flick also stars Bhumika Chawla and Sanjay Suri in the supporting characters and is the first film in India to be shot with an 8k camera, Deccan Chronicle reports.

Commenting on Prabhu playing an antagonist in Khamoshi, Tamannaah told the Quint,

On the other hand, Devi 2 is a sequel to the 2016 hit film of the same name. It stars Prabhu Deva, Tamannaah, Dimple Hayati, Nandita Swetha, RJ Balaji, Kovai Sarala, and Saptagiri.
