The Baahubali star Rana Daggubati was last seen in NTR Mahanayakudu, which released earlier this year. Last week, there were reports that the Baby star has a chronic kidney condition and that he went to the US for his kidney transplant.
Now, Rana Daggubati has denied all the rumors about his health and said that he is really fed up with all these health issues.
Rana said in a statement, "I think there was enough speculated about it and I am tired of clarifying that I am absolutely fine and healthy. So I think rumors about my health are now a boring topic. Whenever I leave Hyderabad, people get apprehensive, but I am thankful for the love and the concern people have been showering on me," Rana said.
Right now, Rana is busy co-producing the biopic on Sri Lankan spin legend Muthiah Muralitharan. Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the former Sri Lankan cricketer, who is one of the leading wicket-takers of the world.
Announcing the news on social media, Rana Daggubati tweeted: "Suresh Productions and I are proud to be associated with Dar films in telling the story of a legend through a legendary actor. Vijay Sethupathi as Muttiah Muralidharan soon!"
Muttiah Muralitharan is a Sri Lankan cricket coach and a former player, who holds the records for most wickets in One Day Internationals as well as Test matches. He announced his retirement in the year 2010 and started his career as bowling coach since 2014.
"I felt that the biopic was a story that had a lot of conflicts, interesting episodes and one can draw huge inspiration from. Also, the gripping tales behind the life of an international sporting legend makes for a great emotional connect. I strongly believe it's a story to be dramatized," Rana Daggubati said.
He said that it was too early to comment about him playing a cameo in the biopic. "I believe casting is always directly proportional to the script. Since I am co-producing the film, it is imperative that I look at the film in totality and objectively, and not subjectively," the actor added.
